At Collective, our teachers are here to educate, encourage, challenge and inspire.
We want dancers to walk into class knowing their teachers believe in them — and walk out knowing they earned their progress.

Our faculty brings together teachers with experience across Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Acro, early childhood movement and performance.
But great credentials are only part of what we’re looking for.

MIA MUGAVERO
PROFESSIONAL DANCER + CHOREOGRAPHER
Hip-Hop • Commercial Dance
Chicago-area native Mia Mugavero brings professional industry experience directly into the Collective studio.
Her professional credits include work connected with major recording artists and large-scale live performances, along with experience across commercial dance, choreography and touring.
At Collective, Mia brings that experience down to a level young dancers can actually use — challenging them in musicality, performance quality, confidence and authentic Hip-Hop movement.
Big experience.
Big energy.
And some very small but mighty dancers ready to keep up.

MISS NICOLE
OWNER + DIRECTOR
Collective Dance was built around a belief that has remained simple from the beginning:
Kids deserve great dance education without losing the joy of being kids.
Miss Nicole leads Collective’s youngest dancers and oversees the studio’s programming, faculty, camps, events and dancer development.
From a dancer’s very first class to deciding they’re ready for something more, she believes in meeting kids where they are — and then helping them discover their next step.
Because sometimes the kid who walks in unsure is the same kid who doesn’t want to leave a few months later.
That’s why we do this.

GUEST ARTISTS + MENTORS
SOMETIMES THE BEST WAY TO SEE WHAT’S POSSIBLE IS TO LEARN FROM SOMEONE DOING IT.
Throughout the year, Collective dancers have opportunities to work with guest teachers, professional dancers, choreographers, college dancers and mentors.
These experiences expose our dancers to new styles, new voices and new possibilities.
And sometimes?
One class changes everything.

Collective is proud to connect our younger dancers with accomplished high school, collegiate and emerging professional dancers who can show them what’s possible.

They worked.
They had hard days.
They kept going.
And now our youngest dancers get to learn from them.
